The Equipment
We take pride in our clinically clean suspension servicing room, which provides a pristine and controlled environment, guaranteeing that every component is handled with utmost care and precision. Our nitrogen re-gassing and vacuum fill equipment allows a deeper level of service as we can empty, inspect and refill your suspension system to ensure consistent and reliable damping, enhancing both performance and longevity.

Conveniently located in Kendal, Mapdec Cycle Works eliminates the risks and uncertainties associated with sending high-pressure, high-value items through the post, offering you peace of mind and removing additional postage and insurance costs. We also offer local collection and can offer postal servicing if you can not visit us in person.
Authorised Service Center
We are authorised service centers for Fox, Marzocchi, DT Swiss & Rockshox. We also service some Cannondale, Ohlins, DVO, X-Fusion, & Manitou. Currently we are not able to offer Cane Creak and SR Suntour servicing.
We service a wide range of brands and some retro kit too, so we have the expertise and the tools to deal with most suspension models. We have a totally transparent pricing structure and any additional costs or parts will be quoted for and agreed with you before we begin work.
Do your forks or rear shock need servicing?
If your suspension feels unusually stiff or jerky, the internal lubrication may be compromised.
You might notice that the suspension isn’t using its full range of motion. This can be due to air or oil leaks.
If the suspension bottoms out easily, it could indicate a loss of air pressure or insufficient damping.
If the external adjustments (like rebound or compression) don’t seem to be having any effect, the internals may need attention.
A spongy response or unpredictable performance typically signals that the suspension fluid needs replacing.
Unusual sounds like squishing, clicking, knocking or clunking can indicate internal issues that need attention.
Signs like oil leaks, scratches on stanchions, or damaged seals point to the need for immediate servicing.
